I’m a founder and researcher working at the intersection of learning and AI. I founded Nervv to help people build understanding and judgment in an AI-powered world.
My work spans programming, quantitative trading, pedagogy, and reasoning systems. I’m drawn to difficult problems where a clear model can become something useful.
Background
At fifteen, I wrote a bestselling programming book for O’Reilly that reached no. 45 on Amazon’s Hot 100 and appeared in multiple languages. I also contributed to an MIT/W3C publication.
I built core components of the NYMEX trading engine and calendar-spread algorithms. As Chief Scientist and then Vice President at EWT/Cats Trading, I was a primary technical architect of the foundational systems and arbitrage algorithms behind the operation that became Virtu Financial.
